Electricity Theft Is Dangerous and Illegal.
Stealing electricity is a serious threat to public safety, to our employees and to government agencies. It’s illegal. It raises the cost of electricity for all everyone. And it can lead to serious injury or death from electrical shock, fires, and explosions.
You can help keep our communities safe by reporting electricity theft by completing the form below or by calling our Customer Service at 800.956.4237 (available 24/7).
Electricity theft happens when someone diverts electric current or tampers with electric meters, which measure a customer’s electrical usage. That includes attempts to stop, under-register or bypass a meter.
Because it is dangerous and costly, we work hard to reduce theft of electricity in our communities.
